Golf Outing Set - 2010 Season to Follow
Carrollton Gazette - March is here, the snow is finally melted and the Dallas Barons are ready to get the competitive juices flowing again and start the 2010 campaign. With Opening Day a mere 4 weeks away, Dallas' favorite semi-pro amateur baseball team will take to the links to kick off their 7 month journey of baseball, beer drinking, karaoke, golf outings and lake trips. An annual tradition, this year's golf outing returns to the unmemorable course at Coyote Ridge Golf Club. Fans of the team will remember the treat that was last years 8 foot birdie putt for the tie that wasn't to be in front of a large gathering on the 18th hole. This year's 4 team 16 participant scramble promises to produce as much alcohol consumption as last year's event and perhaps even as much drama. "It's a great way to get back together and catch up with all the guys we haven't seen in a month or two before the season cranks up" commented Baron's oft injured EH J Giager. "Plus we all can congratulate DePaul on making it thru another winter. Man that dude's old." he said. Day badges are available thru the Dallas Barons Online Ticket Outlet or by calling David Balcer, VP of Barons Ticket Operations, directly at 612-695-0477.
