Fall Update
The Dallas Barons schedule for the Fall Classic is now posted. The Barons will compete in a 10 team bracket for the 25 National championship. The team opens up against Missouri on Monday 11/16 at the Florida Marlins complex at 12noon. The tourney consists of 5 round robin games followed by national playoffs.
In other news, two Fall Classic Barons, Dave DePaul and Jay Dimler just returned from the 35 Wood Bat World Series in Phoenix where their team the Denver Bears won the national title and world series ring. Dimler and DePaul both pitched Denver to complete game wins in the round robin tournament. Other notable teammates on the Denver club included former major league outfielder Damon Buford while his father Don Buford sr. coached third base for the Bears. This is the Bears 3rd consecutive world series title. |
