2009 Ends...Barons Look to the Offseason
DallasBarons.com --- The 2009 season came to a close on Wednesday night with an 8-2 loss to the Modoc. After another successful run the season ends as the Barons tallied a 17-12-1 record. "We just didn't have it during this series. They are a better team right now. When a team outscores you 20-6 in two games, you tip your cap and move on." said second year skipper Travis Arbogast.
The 2009 campaign had its ups and downs, but the team is as enthusiastic as ever about its prospects for the future. "We've been playing together for years now, some for as many as 12 years. Winning and losing is important, but there's really more to this team than that." said James Gardner.
The team looks now to the offseason which undoubtably holds a plethora of activities, including hoops, golf, college football, friendly wagers, holiday festivities, perhaps the occasional adult beverage, and of course the annual Barons Bash VIII slated for November 7th at the Keller West HQ. "There's so much to look forward to. The season didn't end quite how we had hoped, but we're pretty old." said Dave Depaul. Well said DD, well said. |
